Barney worked as a Deputy Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Chief of Police for over 30 years.

Barney breaks down and cries like a baby when he has to remove the bloody remains of Parents and their children from a demolished car after fatal accidents.

The autopsies for infants and young children are the most difficult for him to watch. An autopsy will last for 3 hours or more, and Barney has to witness every moment and  certify the autopsy.
